Flagstaff, Arizona – Northern Arizona residents are bracing for continued cold weather this week, with the possibility of snow showers by Thursday. Skies on Monday will be clear with a high of 36°F, but the night will be bitterly cold with an overnight low of 11°F.

The National Weather Service says the cold air pattern will continue into the middle of the week, with daytime highs ranging from 35°F to 43°F. Monday will see northeasterly winds up to 32 km/h, making the mornings and evenings especially cold. Despite the clear skies, residents are being asked to dress in layers and limit outdoor exposure.

The weather is expected to change a bit on Thursday, with a 20% chance of light snow after 11am. High temperatures for the day will rise to 48°F, with a brief break in the cold before snow falls and travel conditions become hazardous. Roads may remain icy, so drivers should use caution, especially during early morning and late night commutes.
