Sedona Seeks Resident Participation in Budget Planning

The City of Sedona encourages residents to apply to the Budget Working Group, which serves as a civic soundboard during the upcoming annual budget process.

More specifically, a group of up to nine volunteers will meet only four times in March and April on the following topics:

  • After city officials have outlined the budget, it facilitates meaningful discussion and asks what changes city officials need to make to programs and services and what local issues related to the budget are addressed. ask if you need to
  • The workgroup will make recommendations for additional major budget requests that the staff will prepare for next year’s budget.
  • Six service providers present proposals for contract renewals, which are reviewed by workgroups and provide recommendations.

All of this will be best accomplished by compiling the Budget Working Group’s recommendations and presenting them to the Mayor and City Council so that they can make more informed decisions when considering approving the FY24 budget. reach high tide.

Additionally, as part of the budget process, city officials will launch an online survey available to all residents. This asks about various community-wide issues that have a significant impact on budgets.
