“Bling Empire: New York” star Lin Bang died on Monday at the age of 52 after undergoing emergency brain surgery following a skiing accident.
The famous jewelry designer and Netflix reality TV star died a few weeks after the surgery. Her son Sebastian announced the death in a message shared on Instagram on Wednesday.
“My mother passed away on Monday. I know she wanted to share her journey after the accident and brain surgery, so I wanted to post one last time to share the news with those who supported her. I thought you might appreciate sharing,” he wrote. “She may be gone now, but I will do everything in my power to make sure she is never forgotten and her life celebrated in the way it deserves.”
He continued to pay tribute to his mother with an emotional caption.
“Many of you have followed my mother, but never had the chance to know her or meet her in person. I would like to share with you who my mother really was. is my best friend, the best mother I’ve ever had, and the person who cares about everything,” Sebastian wrote.
He remembered Mr. Ban as someone who “always kept a smile on his face, even when there were difficult times during his recovery.”
“She is a fighter to the end and the strongest woman I know. She has been the funniest, coolest mother I could ever ask for. She has supported me, my father, and our took care of my entire family,” Sebastian wrote on Instagram.
Ban posted a message on his account on December 30th, informing his fans that after a skiing accident on Christmas Eve, he suffered a fatal brain hemorrhage that required immediate surgery.
“And in the blink of an eye…life can change,” she wrote.
The reality star shared a photo of herself in the hospital after undergoing an emergency craniotomy that required multiple surgical staples.
Ban said he was wearing a helmet when the tip of his ski got caught on something and he was “face-fixed.”
“It didn’t seem too bad at the time and I was able to ski to the bottom,” she said.
“I wanted to be cautious and have the ski patrol check me for a concussion. They evaluated me and I was cleared. I had a little headache, but after lunch I was fine. So I thought I’d be able to go skiing again.The paramedics advised me to go to the hospital to get my cat checked out,” Ban said.
“It saved my life,” she continued, explaining, “Within 30 minutes they told me I had a brain bleed and needed to be airlifted to a trauma hospital.” She acknowledged there was a “long road to recovery” and seemed optimistic about the future.
Van leaves behind a son, Sebastian, and a husband, Jett.

“As a final message to my mother, I would like to say that I will miss you forever, but I will end with the words that my mother always said to me: “Mom, I love you more than life itself.” I would like to.”
