Sedona Film Festival presents ‘I’m Still Here’ premiere Feb. 7-13

Sedon News -Sedona International Film Festival is proud to be able to hold the North Arizona Premier of “I’m Still Here” on February 7-13 at Alice Gir Sheldon Theater.

“I’m Still Here” is nominated for three Academy Awards, including the best pictures, the best international feature films, and the best actresses of Fernanda Torres. Torres recently won the Golden Globe Award in the same category.

Brazil, 1971. Brazil is facing a military dictatorship tightening grip. Eunis Piva, the mother of the five children, is forced to reinvent themselves after the family suffered a violent and arbitrary intentional act by the government. Based on Marcelo Rubens Piva’s reminiscence, this story depicts the important part of Brazil’s hidden history.

Rio de Janeiro, the early 1970s. Brazil is facing a military dictatorship tightening grip. We are introducing pipeus: Father, Rubens, Mother, Eunis, and their five children. They live near the beach and live in a house where the doors are always open to friends. The affection and humor they share between them are their own subtle resistance to the oppression hanging around the country.

One day, they are struggling with violent and arbitrary’s intentional acts that change their lives forever. In the aftermath, Eunis is forced to reconsider himself and open up a new future for himself and her children.

The impressive story of the family based on Marcelo Rubens Piva’s reminiscence has helped to rebuild the important parts of Brazil’s hidden history.

“I am still here” will appear at the Alice Gil Sheldon Theater on February 7-13. The show time will be held on Friday, Saturday, Monday, February 7, 8, and 3:30 pm. 1:00 pm on Sunday, February 9th. Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, February 11th, 12th, 13th 6:30 pm
