Yavapai County Board of Supervisors Vice Chair Brooks Compton met with James Bloom and Karin Taylor Robson of Arizona’s state’s best land use strategy team on Thursday, February 13th. Electrical services in rural areas including Wilhoit, Congress, Yarnell and future educational opportunities

Supervisor Compton said: We know how important it is to have power in our homes, and APS has proven to be a reliable partner. We also work vigorously with several broadband internet providers to ensure the access everyone needs to succeed. ”

APS introduced the PSPS plan last year. This will only affect customers in targeted, high-fire risk communities to keep Arizonan safe. Under certain conditions, the AP can temporarily shut down power to certain areas to prevent the electrical system from initiating or contributing wildfires via fallen wires or careless sparks. A conversation with Mrs. Robson, Vice-Chairman Compton, included several Yabapai County-specific economic development issues, including the need for nursing schools to support staff at local hospitals and the future growth of local educational institutions.
