According to a report by the New York Times, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) could be planning to fire its biggest officer in almost 50 years.

According to legal documents, officers were placed on administrative leave due to “temporary allocations to personnel functions,” including DEIA (diversity, equity, inclusivity, accessibility).

The Times noted that the last mass CIA fire occurred in 1977 when then-Stansfield Turner fired 198 officers.
This is not the first action the CIA took to comply with Trump’s orders regarding the DEI. The agency previously informed the caller that various DEI groups had dissolved.
