Former White House press secretary Sean Spicer spared Democrat reporter A. Scott Bolden on Thursday on how effectively government efficiency (DOGE) is cutting waste, fraud and abuse.
Doge says about it Website savings an estimated $65 billion to taxpayers, including “fraud detection/deletion.” Bolden in “NewsNation Now” suggests that he has problems with the Doge method, and that it’s about reducing programs he opposed, rather than focusing on waste, fraud and abuse, but Spicer disagreed. “It’s one thing to say you don’t like the program. It’s another thing to say that a program is fraud, waste, abuse,” Bolden said. “There’s a fine line between that and the president and his administration, and it’s been confused with those lines. You don’t have to like it, but that doesn’t mean you can shut it down illegally. If it’s real scam, waste, abuse, then everyone is on it.”
“We have $36 trillion in debt, $2 trillion per year in deficit spending, and at some point, the talk will be given,” replied Spicer. “We need to actively look at the size and waste of government. If you’re complaining about this process now, it’s a shame for you that we haven’t done anything about it over the past few decades.”
Spicer admitted that it may not match all of Doge’s actions, but said, “As a taxpayer, I am pleased to deal with all of the waste, fraud, abuse, inefficiency, duplication and government bloated waste.”
He also called for specific government programs in foreign countries related to transgender ideology and diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).
“It’s not soft power, it’s a waste,” Spicer said. “And I’m happy that someone is finally getting up for the taxpayers and taking this seriously.”
The United States Organization for International Development (USAID) distributed 65.5 million condoms, 9.8 million injectable contraceptive products and 334,000 IUDs to other countries in 2022, particularly promoting family planning in the third world. It also granted Guatemala $2 million to fund “gender-maintaining care” and LGBTQ activities.
CNN Anchor Pamela Brown asked California Democrat Ted Liu on February 19, “Staying Guatemala’s gender-affirming healthcare, teaching Kazakhstan people to fight back against internet trolls, and creating lgisa’s voluntary marriage curtives. She allegedly confirmed that Doge had cuts. Lieu refused to provide a direct response, and instead shifted to talk about his opposition, which was proposed by Republican “tax credits.”
Additionally, Democrat Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett on Friday claimed he didn’t believe there was a significant amount of waste, fraud or abuse in the federal government.
“I’m not going to say there are a lot, I’m going to say there are,” Crockett said. “I’m going to say it exists. I don’t think there are many.”
Poller Frank Lunz told him Wednesday that “voter pay salaries” was happy with President Donald Trump’s second term because of his administration’s efforts to improve government efficiency.
