1 shot, killed after pulling weapon on FBI agents in Moenkopi on Hopi Reservation

The shooting in which FBI Task Force officers took office on Hopi reservations were under investigation Monday afternoon, according to Kevin W. Smith of the Phoenix FBI office.

At about 7:25am on Monday, FBI agents executed a warrant on Hopi reservations in Moencopi, Arizona, Navajo police said. Facebook Posts.

Navajo police said the person pulled out the weapon of an FBI agent and then the person was shot.

According to Navajo police, the FBI was fired and the person was taken to Tuba City Regional Healthcare Corporation before managing First Aid, which took him to Tuba City Regional Healthcare Corporation.

Smith confirmed that the person had died, but it has not been identified yet. No FBI agents or task force officials were injured, he said.

“The FBI takes all shooting cases involving agents or members of the task force seriously,” Smith said. “According to FBI policy, shooting cases are under review by the FBI’s inspection department.”

Smith said the investigation was an ongoing issue and there was no further details as of Tuesday afternoon.

Navajo police said some schools were locked down after the incident, but there was no active threat to the community.
