The area over 7,000 feet, including White Mountain, Mogoronlim and Flagstaff, is valid from late night until 11am on Wednesday, according to Flagstaff’s National Weather Service. Snow accumulation ranges from 2 to 7 inches, with local volumes up to 10 inches at altitudes.
The more severe winter stormwatch is scheduled to start from Thursday afternoon until late Thursday night, affecting areas over 6,000 feet. The total snowfall could reach 8-15 inches at Mogoronrim and the maximum of 1 foot at Kaibabu Plateau. The wind can suddenly turn into sudden speeds of up to 45 mph, and snow can lead to dangerous driving conditions.
