Gavin Newsom Touts ‘Creative Idea’ Of Sending Bat Phones To State Business Leaders

Democrat California Governor Gavin Newsom has sent out mobile phones for business owners whose in-person lines have been programmed into them, the governor’s office confirmed with the Daily Call News Foundation.

First reported KCRA3Sources told the outlet on Monday evening that several tech executives had received the phone, but initially expressed concern about safety as some were skeptical of receiving the device. Newsom’s Office said it had been ongoing since November 2024, and sources told KCRA3 that it had received the phone just like it did last weekend.

“This was the governor’s creative idea to connect more directly with business leaders in the state. Feedback is positive and leads to valuable interactions,” Newsmom’s communications director Isey Gordon told DCNF.
