White House Press Secretary Caroline Lewitt called a series of attacks on Tesla vehicles and dealers domestic acts of terrorism against the company and “innocent Americans.”
Leavitt said Wednesday that U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi “examined these events as domestic terrorist acts and we are totally denounced them.”
“We think it’s mean to be what’s happening not only to this American company, but to innocent employees and innocent Americans driving these vehicles again,” Leavitt continued. “We condemn that wholeheartedly.”
Levitt’s response comes after at least five Tesla vehicles were damaged after being damaged by a fire at the Tesla Cruising Center in Las Vegas on Tuesday, according to the Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD). According to LVMPD, witnesses found suspects burning multiple cars and illuminating multiple cars. Authorities said at least three rounds were released from the car.
“This looks like a targeted attack on the #tesla facility. There is no ongoing threat, but the abundant attention has led to increased patrols around Tesla’s location,” the police department said.

“The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla’s property is nothing but domestic terrorism,” Bondi said. I said in a statement on Tuesday. “The Department of Justice has already kept that in mind for multiple perpetrators, including cases involving a five-year, mandatory minimum sentence.”
