Texas Democrat Jasmine Crockett could be officially blamed by Congress following her comments laughing at Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott while speaking at a LGBTQ advocacy group event on Saturday.
Republican Rep. Randy Weber, a fellow Texan; announcement On Tuesday, he is expected to introduce a denunciation resolution against Crockett, Fox News Digital first reported. It is unclear whether the resolution is considered a privilege. This could force GOP leadership to vote for resolving the blame. “We’re going to introduce the bill to blame Jasmine Crockett for his dishonorable and sleazy attack on the governor of Texas,” Weber I wrote it X Tuesday. “There’s no rhetoric of this kind in Congress.”
“Y’all knows we got a ‘hot wheel’ there – come now,” Crockett said at a human rights campaign event held in Los Angeles on Saturday. “And the only thing hot about him is that he’s a hot ass mess, honey.”
Abbott is paralyzed, especially from his lower back, and uses a wheelchair for most of his life.
Crockett’s comments continue midway through inflammatory comments she made to the recently elected Republican Party. Crockett said Sunday that Democrats should “punch” Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
“I think it’s a punch. I think it’s a punch. I think it’s okay and … Punch is fine…but it’s Ted Cruz! That is,His man must be knocked head, Like It’s difficult isn’t it? Like the TThis is not great with him. That’s exactly right. For example, you clean him, right? ” Crockett said.
In the same interview, Crockett acknowledged that her priorities would be to resist Trump and the GOP-controlled Congress, rather than passing the law.
House Republican campaign division criticized Crockett’s comments for laughing at Abbott’s obstacles.
“Jasmine Crockett is the perfect spokesman for today’s Democrats. He’s untouched and completely indifferent,” said Mike Marinella, a spokesman for the National Republican Congressional Committee, on Tuesday. “When there’s no message or agenda, what remains is hatred.”
In a joint speech to Congress, the House officially denounced Democrat Al Green on March 6 to heckling President Donald Trump.
