The Safford-Graham County Chamber of Commerce has announced that Mount Graham Golf Club has been ranked #17 as the best golf course in Arizona!
According to Golfpass online, Mt. Graham Golf Club is #17 on Golfers’ Choice 2023: Best Golf Courses in Arizona.
Our golf course has 18 holes and was opened in 1974. At 6,354 yards from the longest tees, there are three sets of tees of varying skill levels. The course is owned by the City of Safford and managed by Troon Golf and Club Management.
Fred Birkin, President of the Mount Graham Golf Association, was thrilled with the news.
“We hold hands and make it a very cozy place,” he said. “It reflects our commitment to the community. We have 160 members and are always looking to improve.”
Birkin said club manager Dominic Curran should be given credit for his work at the club. said.

Safford City Councilor Arnold Lopez said the accreditation was a result of the course’s administration.
“It’s really nice to get this recognition. It’s something we should point out in our community,” he said. When you eat at our restaurant, don’t forget to play golf, and don’t forget to look through your telescope.”
