Branding expert Donnie Deutsch told Democrat Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy on a podcast on Tuesday that he was worried that Democrat New York Sen. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders are very well-known Democrats.

“What scares me – some of the loud voices out there: AOC, Bernie Sanders. They’re messengers, even if their economic populism message resonates – I’m the guy in branding who says, “Oh, the party is off the road, the way.” That’s what scares me,” Germany said. “That’s what I say. If I see, you know, I see you, I see you, I see you, I’m a moderate man with a progressive voice – I see Bernie, I see AOC, and this is here to beat them, and to say on the other side, it’s “Oh, the party is so left.”
Murphy challenged Germany’s character, saying that Sanders portrays an audience of all political backgrounds.
“I mean, he has people like traditionally difficult people, but he also always had crossover complaints on some. [President Donald] The senator said it was Trump’s base. “And I think that’s because he’s focusing on economic inequities like a laser.”
“This has always been about Bernie. He’s trying to build a big tent that you can go inside as long as you agree with him, as long as we need to unlock the economy to work for ordinary people,” he added. “And I think Democrats have to reform here. I think we have to go back to being that big party. Whether Bernie Sanders is the leader or not, do I really know?”
Additionally, former Democrat megadonor John Morgan said on News Nation’s “Cuomo” March 20th that the anti-orical key tour of left-wing politicians backfires as each motivates Trump supporters.

When asked to identify Democratic leaders, they believe they “reflect the party’s best,” but 10% of Democrats chose Ocasio-Cortez and 8% chose Sanders. According to Go to the CNN/SSRS opinion poll published on March 16th.
He didn’t mention Sanders or Ocasio-Cortez by name, but Democrat New York State Rep. Richie Torres argued in his podcast on Thursday that people who think should move left have reached the wrong insights from the November 2024 election loss.
“I think it’s odd now to reverse the outcome of the 2024 election. We have to accept the far left,” he said. “That doesn’t make sense to me.”
