WASHINGTON – Nearly 20 Democrats gathered at the National Mall in honor of Transgender Vision Day on Monday, opposing the Trump administration’s policies that harm the trans community.
That came when the Trump administration moved Block Gender Affirming Healthcare for Transgender Children, Transgender members from serving the US militaryrejects gender markers on your passport Transgender athletes in women’s sports are prohibited.
Transgender Visibility Day is dedicated to acknowledging the achievements of the trans community and raising awareness of the discrimination faced by trans people.
Representatives like Florida’s Rep. Maxwell Alejandro Frost have denounced President Donald Trump and his administration. He said Trump is using trans people as scapegoats.
“() In an even more despicable move, he was chosen as the scapegoat kids, the Trans Kids,” he said. “Why you can’t pay rent, why you can’t afford health care, why you have to fear gun violence, why you can’t afford your groceries have nothing to do with trans people.
Inter-Indigenous Groups, Trans Advocacy Groups
Inter-fiction groups and transgender advocacy groups joined lawmakers for an event hosted by Christopher Street Project, a nonprofit organization aimed at electing pro-Democrats in Congress.
“My religion taught me that all humans are images of God,” Rabbi Abbey Stein said. “When people in the (Congress) or the White House try to take away our rights, and when they try to legislate us from being, what you’re doing is… a humiliation not only for humanity, but for any version of divinity and spirituality or belief.”
Democrats attended included Whip Katherine Clark and Jerry Nadler of New York, Robin Kelly of Illinois, Paulo Tonko of New York, Pramila Jayapal of Washington, Sarah Jacobs of California, Melanie Stansbury of New Mexico and Frost of Floridy Floridy Oregon. Julie Johnson of Tokyo and Texas in Hawaii, Yassamin Ansari of Arizona, Judy Chu of California, and Suhas Sablamanyam of Virginia.
Hawaii Democrat Senator Brian Schatz and Massachusetts Ed Markey were also present.

A handful of lawmakers with transgender families spoke at a rally Monday.
Lee said she is, instead of nie and ne, a proud aunt of transgender nibbing, a gender-neutral term for sibling children.
“What’s going on right now, especially for our trans brothers, is cruel,” she said of the Trump administration’s policies. “They are intentionally targeting some of the most marginalized people in our society.”
Chu said she feared nephew, who is transgender.
“I’m afraid of what the future will be for him as this punitive regime takes it away from the trans people, but I tell you, we’ll fight back,” she said.
