Health and Human Services Director Robert F. Kennedy Jr. asked the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to stop recommendations for community water fluorination during a Utah stop on the Maha Tour on Monday.
“Fluoride should not be in our water,” Kennedy told the Utah crowd after the state became the first to officially ban water fluorescent agents statewide.

Kennedy has long been a strong supporter of ending water fluorination, promising promising voters during the 2024 presidential election, and as president he has pledged to finish his practice. Now, as the country’s top health authorities, he is taking steps to do just that. (Related: RFK Jr. wants to get fluoride out of the water.
Kennedy continues to outline the dangers of fluoride in his speech, claiming that there is “zero systemic benefit” for the consumption of chemicals for dental health. He argued that local spraying is fine, but not consumed through public water systems.

“The evidence for fluoride is overwhelming,” Kennedy continued. “We know that it causes loss of IQ, deeper IQ. The more fluoride you have, the more likely you are to lose your IQ.”
He also said consumption is linked to kidney and liver damage, hypothyroidism and osteoarthritis.
“It makes no sense to have it in our water supply. I am extremely proud that this state is the first state to ban it. I hope there are more to come,” he concluded.
Profluoride supporters disagree with his assessment; Claim Minerals are essential for dental health and are riskless.
However, the National Toxicology Program (NTP) meta-analysis found a decrease in pediatric IQ, which is directly correlated with increased fluoride consumption.
The National Toxicology Program (NTP) declared, “…data supports a consistent inverse association between fluoride exposure and child IQ.”

After Kennedy’s speech, he I said The Associated Press (AP) has told the CDC to stop Floridation’s recommendations. He also said he is building a task force to develop new recommendations.
Ocean changes follow the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announcement We will also review fluorides.
The current EPA recommended standard for 4.0 mg/L fluoride is well above the 1.5 mg/L found in NTP with “moderate reliability.”
