Yuma, Arizona (azfamily) – The man is dead after being shot dead early Thursday morning in what Yuma police call a “domestic conflict.”
The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to a domestic situation reported at home around 3:30am. Delverde Drive, north of the interstate. While they headed to the scene, the shot was reported to be fired inside the house.
When YCSO MPs arrived on the scene, they found a man who didn’t respond after he was shot.
Deputies and local metro firefighters tried to take measures to save lives, but the man was declared dead at the scene. The victim has been identified as 38-year-old Anthony Morgan Herrera of Yuma.
YCSO’s Criminal Investigation Bureau took over this ongoing investigation. No information has been released regarding the suspect.
