Former Democrat Senate Candidate Says AOC’s NYC Liberal Message Would Fall On Deaf Ears With Midwestern Voters

Former Democrat Senate candidate in Ohio Morgan Harper said Tuesday that if Democrat Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez runs for president in 2028, he could struggle to connect with Midwest voters.

Vermont’s Ocasio-Cortez and independent Sen. Bernie Sanders are on an “anti-oligal” tour targeting President Donald Trump, who has rallies in several states, and senior White House adviser Elon Musk. “You spoke, you ran in your Ohio so you spoke on behalf of some of the Democratic voters you know in that state,” Faulkner asked Harper. “So why don’t you think she can’t be the face of your party if she has those authentic things?”

“When we were talking about it, it’s coming from an Ohio perspective. They want to see people who came from there. “The AOC comes from New York City. New York City is a very different place than the rest of the world.”
