During former President Joe Biden’s inauguration, Republicans have consistently warned of a surge in illegal immigration across the US border. His four-year term saw millions of illegal immigrants enter the country, with an estimated 1.9 million “gotaways” recorded by June 2024. In October 2024, a House Judiciary Committee report found that more than 1.7 million migrants encountered at the tropical border were flagged as “potential national security threats.” Of the estimated 8 million illegal immigrants who have entered the United States since January 2021, at least 382 have been found on the US terrorist watch list.
“This scares hell from me. If you don’t think one of them didn’t come here to harm us, you’re an idiot,” Homan added. “This is the biggest problem I’ve seen in my 40-year career and it scares hell from me. It should scare hell from all Americans, but I’m grateful to President Trump as President Trump sits in the White House and takes 100%.”
