Yuma, Arizona – The Yuma Police Department is investigating a newborn baby after it was found dead in a local hotel.
Just before 11am on Thursday, Yuma police officers were called to the Best Western Hotel on Castle Dom Avenue to report a baby found in the trash can.
When the officers arrived, they found an outer garbage can with their bodies inside.
Detectives believe the bodies were placed there between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
Police say it was originally found by a hotel employee.
Police have not yet identified the suspect or the person who gave birth.
Anyone with information will be urged to call 78-Crime at (928) 373-4700 or (928) 782-7463 to leave anonymous and contact Yuma Police Station.

You must either hand the baby to someone in the above location or place the baby in the designated hospital’s safe shelter drawer. Tell them that this is a baby in a safe shelter and you might leave. Your baby will be cared for and find a good home for your baby.
