Several voters said President Donald Trump’s president made them feel more patriotic, according to an Emerson University poll released Friday.
Of those surveyed, 39% said Trump’s presidency strengthened his feelings of patriotism. According to to the opinion poll. Meanwhile, 34% of voters said his presidency didn’t affect how he felt patriotism, while only 27% said he weakened his feelings of patriotism, polls found.
Two-thirds of Republicans (67%) said Trump’s presidency made them feel more patriotic, while 45% of Democrats said they undermined how they felt patriotic, according to a survey. Polls found that independent voters were more divided, with 31% saying Trump’s presidency increasing patriotism, while 30% said they weakened patriotic feelings, while 39% said they didn’t affect patriotic feelings.
