Police seek missing ‘at-risk’ Maricopa man, 77

The Maricopa Police Department is seeking the community’s help in finding 77-year-old Richard Bird.

His phone was tracked by Casa Grande before the battery was dead or turned off. According to MPD, Nissan Altima reading the Arizona Cardinal’s vanity plate FB27K1 was later seen at Gilbert. He does not have any known contacts to Gilbert.

The bird is said to be 5 feet 7 and 164 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes. It is unknown what the bird was wearing when he disappeared.

He is considered “at risk” because he needs medicine and has a medical condition that suffers from dementia. As a result, he could be confused, police said.
