SEC Men’s Basketball Schedule Released for 2025-26 Season
This week, the Southeastern Conference unveiled its men’s basketball opponents for the 2025-26 season, presenting a challenging lineup for both Alabama and Auburn. This comes as no surprise, given the expectation of another fiercely competitive season.
After what many regarded as the most impressive basketball season in SEC history, the upcoming schedule aims to uphold the league’s elevated standards.
While soccer typically steals the spotlight in the fall, basketball play is set to kick off in late December and carry on into the New Year.
In the SEC’s 18-game schedule structure, each team will engage in a rotation that includes one Home and Home series with two designated opponents. For Alabama, the teams will be Auburn and Mississippi, both of whom they will face twice, alongside Tennessee, which will also play a significant role this season.
Auburn has a similar setup, with Alabama and Ole Miss joining the mix, and they will also meet Arkansas twice this year.
Notably, both teams are gearing up for road games against Florida, known for their defensive prowess, as well as an away matchup in Knoxville against Tennessee.
They’ll also host Kentucky, Texas, and Texas A&M at home. While both teams will make trips to Oklahoma, only Auburn will head to Missouri.
It’s clear that discussions around basketball are heating up, and unveiling the meeting opponents from such competitive leagues is certainly an exciting beginning to the season.
