Meriwest Credit Union President and CEO Announces Retirement in February 2023
SILICON VALLEY, Calif., Feb. 10, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Julie Kirsch, president and CEO of Meriwest Credit Union, is retiring after 32 years in a leadership role at Meriwest. Kirsch said she took over as CEO of Meriwest in 2013, and during that tenure she helped grow the credit union’s assets from $1 billion to over $2.2 billion, improved earnings, and improved profitability. We expanded our membership base and introduced innovative banking technology.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kirsch successfully led the credit union through numerous transitions and innovations, leading Meri West from a single sponsor to a community-based credit union. This also included renaming and rebranding efforts. Market expansion and merger and acquisition activity. Mr. Kirsch also led the development of the credit union’s innovative financial center, featuring his unique financial services design and various self-service high-tech facilities.
