Barry Moore supports the RIOT Act following unrest in L.A.

Support for Law and Order Amid LA Riots

U.S. Representative Barry Moore from Enterprise has expressed his backing for law enforcement following the recent riots in Los Angeles.

The unrest erupted last week after an incident involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents executing search warrants at four companies accused of hiring undocumented workers and falsifying employment documentation.

In light of the violence, Moore proposed a common riot law, aiming to ensure that non-citizens convicted of physically assaulting law enforcement officers could face deportation. Under this law, those deported would be barred from re-entering the U.S. permanently.

“If you want to destroy property, police, or cause riots during an emergency, you should leave the country and not come back,” he stated. “I’m proud to co-sponsor the Riot Act, championed by Rep. Dan Crenshaw, which seeks to protect American families by deporting those who bring chaos and violence to our neighborhoods.”

Moore also took issue with mainstream media portrayals of the riots. He tweeted, “The fake news is lying again. This is not just a group enjoying watching the chaos unfold; it’s a violent riot fueled by a misguided desire to shield illegal immigrants.”

Amid these tensions, President Donald Trump has called in the National Guard and dispatched 700 U.S. Marines to restore order.
