California Governor criticizes Alabama and Tommy Tuberville during Los Angeles turmoil: ‘Focus on football’

The situation in Los Angeles has escalated, sparking significant responses from conservatives, including President Trump and U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville. They’ve criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom for not taking action amid the chaos. On Monday, tensions rose as Tuberville directly confronted Newsom.

In a post, Tuberville remarked, “Gavin Newsom didn’t do his job. Los Angeles resembles a third-world country. Anarchists are in control, law enforcement is under attack, and there’s no order.” He then implied that Newsom should face consequences.

Tuberville’s stance reflects broader frustrations, as President Trump suggested that Newsom should face arrest for hindering federal immigration efforts, calling him incompetent. Despite the unrest in Los Angeles, Newsom responded by highlighting murder rates in Alabama, suggesting that Tuberville should focus on issues closer to home.

Quickly, Tuberville retorted, accusing Newsom of neglecting his responsibilities in favor of protecting undocumented individuals. He underscored the severity of the situation in Los Angeles, emphasizing that Newsom’s focus was misplaced.

In response to the unrest, up to 700 Marines stand ready, with President Trump having already deployed 300 National Guard members to Los Angeles by Monday afternoon.
