Alabama’s U.S. Senators on the violent LA riots: ‘Terrorism and chaos will not be accepted’

Violence Erupts in Los Angeles, Senators Respond

A mob has been causing chaos in Los Angeles, leading two Alabama senators to criticize Democrats and the liberal media for their perceived support of the disruptions. Senators Tommy Tuberville and Katie Britt took to social media to demand accountability in response to the situation that seems to be escalating.

Tuberville labeled the Democrats as a “party of destruction and lawlessness,” asserting that the ongoing violence from the protests would not be tolerated. “These acts of terrorism and disorder simply cannot continue,” he expressed. He underscored a sense of urgency: those who wish to undermine the country have no place here.

Britt echoed these sentiments while targeting Governor Newsom and Mayor Bass for not adequately addressing the rioters. “It’s clear that the governor and mayor have failed to protect ICE officers from violent mobs, while President Trump is stepping up for them,” she noted. Britt contrasted the positions of the two parties, claiming Democrats advocate for open borders, in contrast to Republicans who promote law and order.

In her remarks, Britt also pointed out that Democrats and certain media figures seem to support the rioting, describing scenes of lawlessness: “Vehicles are burning, mobs are attacking ICE officials, and our roads are overrun.” She emphasizes a blurring of safety as illegal activity masquerades as protest.

In response to these events, Mayor Bass expressed her dismay, stating, “As mayor of a city known for its immigrant contributions, I’m enraged. These violent tactics instill fear and disrupt the principles of safety we uphold.” She mentioned that her office is actively collaborating with organizations advocating for immigration rights.

FBI Director Kash Patel countered Bass’ statements, asserting that the FBI does not need permission to uphold constitutional law. “Our responsibility isn’t about politics; it’s about protecting the American people. Los Angeles is facing a criminal threat, and restoring order is imperative,” he clarified, taking a strong stance on the matter.
