Eagles announce 3 roster moves ahead of Super Bowl LVII matchup vs. Chiefs

of Eagles announce three roster transfers Ahead of Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Arizona, the team activated punter Arin Sipos from the injured list.

Siposs has been sidelined since injuring his ankle while trying to advance a punt against the Giants in Week 14.

Philadelphia also moved safety Anthony Harris and wide receiver Greg Ward from the practice squad to the active roster for the final game of the season.

While out with injury, Siposs was replaced by 36-year-old Brett Kern. He averaged 40.8 yards per kick and his 36.6 nets, both career lows for a 15-year veteran.

His 40.8 is the lowest for an Eagles punter since Reggie Hodges averaged 36.8 during the 2005 season, when he was replaced by Shawn Landeta.

The veteran’s safety provides depth on defense, but was inactive in the divisional round matchup against the Giants and the NFC Championship victory over the 49ers.

Harris tallied 72 tackles in Philadelphia last season, but cut training camp before signing with the Broncos practice team.

The Broncos released Harris in December and he returned to the Eagles on the practice squad.

Greg Ward

Ward could be asked to return a punt on Sunday night after Britain Covey suffered a hamstring injury.
