Cassie Ventura Addresses Diddy Verdict

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Ex-Girlfriend Speaks Out Amid Legal Developments

Kathy Ventura, the former girlfriend of Sean “Diddy” Combs, has broken her silence following the conclusion of a criminal investigation that cleared her of assault or sex trafficking allegations.

Her attorney, Douglas H. Wigdor from Wigdor LLP, commended Ventura for her bravery in filing a civil lawsuit against Diddy. “This entire legal process took off in November 2023 when Cathy decided to take a stand,” Wigdor remarked. He noted that while the judge couldn’t convict Combs on sex trafficking charges, the civil case could ultimately lead to a finding of his involvement in prostitution.

Wigdor added, “By sharing her experience, Cathy is making a significant impact on the entertainment industry as well as the ongoing fight for justice.”

A well-known video that depicts Diddy confronting Ventura in a hotel lobby was presented to a jury of 12—eight men and four women—during the trial. The visual evidence has been significant in shaping public and legal perceptions.

“It’s crucial to support clients like Cathy, who have exhibited remarkable courage throughout this trial,” Wigdor stated.

Ventura’s case touches upon broader themes of accountability, as Wigdor highlighted her role in bringing attention to longstanding misconduct among powerful figures. “She’s illuminated the reality of these situations, showing that change has been overdue for far too long,” he remarked.

US District Judge Arun Subramanian has denied Diddy’s bail request, citing concerns that he might pose a risk. The judge is expected to deliver a ruling on October 3rd, while prosecutors are pushing for a sentence of four to five years.
