Brian Gunn Announces Support for Youth Organizations

Birmingham City Council District candidate Brian Gunn revealed on Tuesday that three significant youth-focused democratic organizations have been approved: Young Democrats in Birmingham, Young Democrats in Alabama, and University of Alabama Democrats.

According to Gunn’s announcement, “These endorsements underscore the momentum gathering around the campaign, showcasing the increasing backing for a vision of a more inclusive, responsive, and positive Birmingham.”

Gunn expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are thrilled to support these amazing organizations that represent the next generation of leaders in Alabama. Young people are shaping the future of our communities, and I am dedicated to ensuring their voices and values influence every decision made at City Hall.”

Cadida Stone, president of the Alabama Young Democrats, praised Gunn’s dedication to service and equity. “Brian Gunn has repeatedly shown up in the community, not just during election season but throughout the year,” she remarked. “He embodies the type of experience, compassion, and work ethic that our generation wants to see in local leadership. We stand proudly with him.”

Similarly, Sam McKinney, president of the University of Alabama Democratic Party, echoed these sentiments. “Brian gets the issues that matter to young people—affordable housing, safer neighborhoods, climate resilience, and economic opportunities,” he noted. “We need a courageous, approachable leader like him who will listen and act with intention.”

Gunn, a longtime community advocate and civil servant, expressed that his campaign focuses on neighborhood investment, government transparency, and achieving tangible results for working families. He also noted that his message appeals to younger voters who are eager for a more engaged and accountable city government.

As Election Day approaches, his campaign is reportedly gaining grassroots momentum, with an expanding coalition of residents, organizers, and local leaders aiming to invigorate District 4.
