For the 2024 season, Terrell will play on his fifth-year rookie option and earn $12.34 million. When asked about his negotiations with the Falcons last month, Terrell expressed no concerns about getting a deal done, and now we know why.

My subordinates received their wages.

Terrell has 247 tackles, 43 passes defensed, four interceptions and one sack in his four-year career and was named second-team All-Pro in 2021.

If you don't know who AJ Terrell is, that's totally understandable because he's totally underrated.

He is arguably one of the best cover guys in the NFL and can go toe-to-toe with just about any WR1 that comes in front of him. I'm a Floridian, Georgia is a neighbor, and I'm a Braves fan, so naturally I pay very close attention to what's going on in the ATL, and the Falcons are one of them. Terrell deserves to be paid, and probably would have been paid more if he'd made the Pro Bowl.

But…why didn’t he make it?

What a crime.
