A Man Crashes A Drone At The Pinyon Plain Mine, Flees And Hits Multiple Vehicles Near Tusayan Wednesday – KAFF News – Flagstaff

A Lukachukai man was arrested Wednesday morning after crashing a drone into a safety wire at the Pinion Plain Mine in southern Tusayan. The man escaped the scene with the S Silver Ford F150 before Coconino County Sheriff’s deputies arrived. The same vehicle was found driving recklessly towards Tsusayan. A while later, witnesses reported seeing the truck attack another vehicle in Tusayan and then fled to Grand Canyon National Park on Highway 64. A while later, another hit and a running incident were reported in the park. The Park Rangers found the truck after crashing into a forest near the entrance to the canyon’s desert view. The driver was identified as Bobby Mason of Lukachukai. He was booked at the Coconino County Detention Facility for multiple counts of worsening DUI, criminal damage, hits and running, reckless driving, harassment, and illegal operation of models or unmanned aerial vehicles. He also had some unresolved warrants.
