Let's talk about ways to revive the rivalry!
But with that being said, there were better moments in the crosstown series, as both the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Cubs were no longer in the running for a postseason spot.
So I guess I can give the Cubs a little credit. 3.5 They're a game ahead of the second-place team in the National League wild-card standings, with only three teams ahead of them, but their inconsistency throughout the season means a playoff berth will be difficult to come by.
As for the Red Sox, the team is coming off a 100-loss season, is just awful on the South Side, and well… that's it. (Related article: Yankees and Mets fans get into wild Subway Series brawl featuring punches, tackles and a crazy shirtless man)
Such is the situation in Chicago, with neither team in the running for the postseason and the scorching hot summer here, Chicago fans are beginning to lose patience.
Example A: On Saturday, during the White Sox-Cubs game at Guaranteed Rate Field, a minor girl-fight broke out between a few fans, but it quickly escalated into a full-on brawl between several Chicago supporters.
Ah, that's right, folks. Chi's frustration has reached boiling point.

I know fighting is bad, but this rivalry needs some spice… maybe this will do it (but probably not).
