Yuma, Arizona (KYMA, KECY-TV) – Temperatures are a little warmer than yesterday and below the average of 102C, as highs are expected to hit the 90s.
Partly cloudy skies today and into the evening, but dry conditions will persist with temperatures dropping to the mid-80s later tonight.
Winds are expected to pick up again this evening in Imperial County, with top gusts likely reaching 30 mph.
The Imperial County APCD issued an Air Quality Warning until 6:00 pm tonight, and due to high levels of ozone (smog), an air quality warning will be issued again for the Imperial Valley from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm Friday.

The current low has moved north, but temperatures will remain mild and windy for the season.
Weather turbulence is expected across the region next weekend with more winds expected, with some areas of Imperial County experiencing the strongest winds.

Below-normal temperatures will continue until early next week, with warming trends expected to return to near-normal by the second half of next week.

A continuous discharge from the Painted Rock Dam continues down the Gila River through Yuma County.
Flood warnings are in effect through at least June 13 along the Gila River between the Painted Rock Dam and the Colorado River.
