A Tribute to The Beatles with Sedona Symphony

Sedona News – On Saturday, April 26th, 2025, the Sedona Symphony Orchestra will host its annual pop concert under the artistic orientation of conductor Gianna Heems. This concert features a classic mystery tour. The Classic Mystery Tour features Jim Owen, Miles Frizzel, GlenmacCollum and Joe Bologna. The group has been pleased with pop audiences for over 22 years, performing concerts with over 100 orchestras in Unity State, Canada, Europe, Asia and Australia. The group sold out concerts at the Sydney Opera House and performed with some of America’s most prestigious orchestras, including the Cleveland Orchestra, Boston Pops, the Philadelphia Orchestra, and the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra.

the beatles: Bettles of Liverpool (Paul McCartney, John Lennon, George Harrison, Ringo Starr) unleashed popular artists from songwriting mills and studio session players as innovative self-contained quartets who wrote, sang and performed their own songs. Polishing live chops at clubs in Hamburg, a sturdy Port City in England and Germany, the band exploded with popular awareness and commercial success.

In 1966, the Beatles retired from live performances and chose to deploy a recording studio (usually supported by producer George Martin and engineer Jeff Emerick). Martin’s long experience as a conductor and orchestrator brought a variety of classical instruments and techniques to the Beatles mix, creating a rich sonic tapestry that goes far beyond what was offered by many other four-piece rock bands. Following the group’s disbandment in 1970, the four members of the Beatles continued to create highly praised and extremely popular works on equal terms.
