ABC, George Stephanopoulos Scramble To Apologize For Telling The Truth

ABC News and George Stephanopoulos rushed to apologize after the host publicly stated that President Joe Biden would not serve another term.

In the raw footage first posted by TMZ, Stephanopoulos is seen telling an unidentified person moments after the meeting with Biden that he “doesn't think Biden can serve another four years.” Stephanopoulos later confirmed he was the person in the video and said he regretted his comments.

“I answered a question from a passerby today and I should not have done so,” Gov. Stephanopoulos told a spokesman, according to Pac News' Dylan Byers.

ABC News quickly refuted Stephanopoulos' comments, saying he was expressing his own views.

Stephanopoulos spoke with Biden to discuss his infamously disastrous June 27 debate defeat and whether he has the cognitive edge to serve another four years and defeat former President Donald Trump. Biden has signaled his intention to continue in the race despite growing calls from members of his own party for him to withdraw.
