Actor Deron Houghton has shocked fans by sharing images of the horrific injuries he sustained after being shot.
In a shocking post shared on Instagram on January 16, Houghton revealed that he was shot just days before Christmas, and shared numerous images of his bloody arm.
“First of all. I want to honor God for covering and protecting me through this situation and countless others,” the actor wrote. He went on to say that he narrowly escaped death from the violent incident. “I’m blessed that I didn’t end up in a coffin and get paralyzed, thank you Lord.”
The 32-year-old actor uploaded a carousel image on his social media account, showing the severity of his injury. The first photo showed him lying in a hospital bed with his arms crossed. The next few images showed bloodstained sheets, giving fans a glimpse of the fresh wounds. His skin had been torn apart and the deep wound appeared to require several stitches to close. The “American Horror Story 1984” actor also provided X-rays showing the injuries to his body.
Horton displayed photos of his car, showing the broken glass and holes in the door panels.
The actor expressed his gratitude to everyone who supported him during this harrowing ordeal and further explained what happened to him.
“To everyone who checked in on me, especially my family and friends, I love you, thank you. Gettin was shot a few days before Christmas, def wasn’t on my wish list 😂🎅🏽 but… It just so happened that the MF rammed through the car towards me and the bullet broke and my arm was shattered and it was the worst,” he said.

Horton assured fans that he is on the mend and is eager to get back to normal life.
“I’m now out of the hospital and healing (‘100’ emoji) MF has a plate and screws in his arm so I won’t be able to train for a while and I’m pissed, but it could have been much worse. there is! ” he said.
“And no pity, I’ll get back on my feet soon. I feel great (two ‘100’ emojis) I just wanted to remind you all and myself to keep God first.” is. Stay alert and be grateful for everything. The devil can’t stop shit even if he walks lol God (praying emoji),” he wrote on Instagram.
