Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies reportedly arrested well-known actor Michael Madsen on Saturday on suspicion of domestic violence following an incident involving his wife.
Law enforcement sources said Madsen was arrested shortly after midnight on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge. TMZAccording to TMZ, police allege that the star shoved his wife during an argument and locked her out of their Los Angeles-area apartment complex. Initial reports said the two had been arguing, but it was not clear what the issue was that led to the violent altercation.

Police were called to the scene, but it is unclear who made the call.
According to TMZ, when police arrived at the home, Madsen's wife was surrounded by a team of security guards and police were able to speak with the pair and get a detailed account of what was going on.
Police determined they had grounds for an arrest and took the famous actor into custody, where he was processed and detained at the local jail.

According to TMZ, a source familiar with the situation said Madsen's wife sought medical attention but refused to be examined by a doctor.
The famous actor posted $20,000 bail and was released from custody.

Madsen is known for his roles in Kill Bill, Reservoir Dogs, The Hateful Eight and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.
