Actor Micheal Ward from a Netflix series faces charges of rape and sexual assault.

Michael Ward Faces Serious Allegations

Michael Ward, the actor from “Top Boy,” has reportedly been accused of two rapes and three sexual assaults in a case being handled by the London Metropolitan Police. These allegations are tied to incidents involving one woman, which are said to have occurred in January 2023, as noted by the Guardian.

Detective Scottware, who leads the investigation team, commented on the situation, emphasizing the importance of support for those women making allegations. “Our experts continue to support women who have made progress, and we know that research of this nature can have a significant impact on those who report,” he stated.

In response, Ward has denied all accusations, asserting in a statement released on Friday that he “completely denies the charges against me.” He expressed his commitment to cooperate fully with the police as the investigation unfolds.

“I recognize that the lawsuits are currently underway and fully believe that they will lead to my name being cleared. Given these cases, I cannot comment further,” he added, reflecting a sense of anticipation about proving his innocence.

Ward is facing two counts of rape, along with charges of sexual assault and two assaults involving breaking and entering, as outlined by deputy general prosecutor Catherine Bacchus. She urged anyone involved to remember that these cases require sensitivity and warned against online discussions that could impact the proceedings. “It is important that there is no online reporting, commentary, or online sharing that could harm these cases,” she noted.

The actor started his career in the film “Brotherhood” and gained significant fame for portraying Jamie in “Top Boy,” a series that ran from 2013 to 2022.

Ward is expected to appear at Thames Magistrates Court in East London on August 28.
