Adam Schiff Urges U.S. Postal Service To Honor Leonard Nimoy

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-California) has asked the US Postal Service to issue a commemorative stamp to Leonard Nimoy.

In a statement, Schiff called Nimoy, who died in 2015, “an extraordinary activist, actor and friend.”

On Monday, Mr. Schiff wrote to the Citizens Postage Advisory Committee, asking them to recommend Mr. Nimoy for postmaster. The committee selects individuals who have made “outstanding and lasting contributions to American society, history, culture, and the environment.” Survivors are currently ineligible, and deceased persons are considered to have died or heard of death for at least 3 years.
