A few days ago, Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant claimed his scandalous second firearms video actually used a toy gun instead of a real one. Silver appeared on Thursday’s interview on The Dan Patrick Show, where the commissioner discussed the latest news revolving around Morant, ahead of the NBA’s official announcement of Ja’s suspension. was.

At the time, Silver denied Morant’s claim that he used a toy gun, citing a report by The Breakfast Club’s Claudia Jordan. On Jordan’s radio show, she said she had been in contact with Morant’s team, at which point they claimed the toy gun and also said she expected a 30-game suspension. Earlier reports said Ja Morant would be suspended for half the regular season (41 games).

Mr. Silver was baffled and asked Dan Patrick why on earth he needed to brandish a fake gun on Instagram Live after just a few months of soaking in boiling water with a real one. And he was hypothetical.

Oh my god, Adam Silver is so cool after this.

He used to be the coolest commissioner in all of sports, but after this he was completely blown away. Silver has done great things for the NBA and he will continue to do so. And this only elevates it in my opinion.

Let’s be real here, Ja Morant was a mess in public relations and took everything badly, and he deserves to be accused and buffooned for it. (Related: Got ESPN’s ‘Once Upon a Time in Anaheim’ before it came out. It’s definitely a must-see.)
