Meet Harlow, a 1-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who has been in Arizona Humane Society's care for over 50 days. Harlow was transferred to us in July from Tuba City Humane Society through our Project Reach Out program, which allows us to take in at-risk pets from our neighborhood partners when our adoption floor has space available. Harlow was found abandoned with four other puppies and tested positive for coccidia, a parasitic intestinal infection. Once she was admitted to our trauma hospital, she was immediately treated with medication to treat her severe stomach upset. Once her energy levels and eating habits returned to normal, Harlow finally began to show us just how smart, obedient, sweet, and playful she is. She loves water, is very interested in food, and we discovered she already knows tricks like “sit” and “wag”. She's a lot of fun to be around, so come meet her at our Papago Park campus.
