Energy technology company AES Corporation has commissioned a 100MW solar power plant in Eloy, Arizona. This is his third in the region.
Half of the capacity of the recently commissioned solar plant will power technology giant Meta’s future data center in Mesa, while the other half of the energy will go to the utility’s Salt River Project (SRP) Solar Choice Program. Supplied to registered homes and small businesses. .
AES owns and operates the 100MW West Line Solar Plant, which is the company’s third solar project in the Pinal County area developed to serve customers of the utility SRP. The total capacity of the three projects is 300MW of renewable energy.
Within its sustainability goals, SRP aims to install more than 2GW of solar capacity by 2025 and more than 800MW of storage battery projects that are expected to be operational by 2024. I’m here.
“We are grateful to the SRP and AES partnership for helping us bring new renewable energy to the Arizona grid,” said David Williams, community development manager at Meta.
