Coming off the sidelines and into the game, Alabama A&M will be initiating a partnership for NIL opportunities.
According to a news release from the athletic department, the INFLCR Local Exchange and INFLUXER will complement A&M’s NIL program initiative by providing resources to help Bulldog student-athletes leverage their name, image and likeness.
“Alabama A&M Athletics is excited to embark on this pioneering initiative with INFLCR and the INFLUXER NIL platform,” said Athletic Director Dr. Paul A. Bryant. “This strategic partnership underscores our commitment to providing unprecedented NIL opportunities to our student-athletes.”
“By joining forces with INFLCR and INFLUXER, we're not just embracing the future of college sports, we're ensuring that players have the tools and resources they need to thrive on and off the field. Together, we're not just shaping the game, we're shaping its future.”
A free service for student-athletes and businesses, companies can sign up to these platforms to access a searchable database of student-athletes and filter that database by a variety of criteria, the department said in a news release. Companies that comply with Alabama A&M's athletic NIL guidelines can message student-athletes directly on the application or request contact information to begin discussions about potential NIL deals.
The addition of these resources will enable student-athletes to make business connections, streamline payment and reporting processes, consolidate tax information and properly differentiate between the university and each student-athlete's pursuit of NIL opportunities, A&M said. These services will be provided within the INFLCR and INFLUXER apps.
Additionally, A&M said it will provide education to student-athletes on NIL issues as well as track social media engagement and growth.
