Alabama and Auburn each move one spot in AP Poll after 1-1 weeks



The Alabama and Auburn men's basketball teams each had a tumultuous few weeks on the court. Both teams suffered heavy defeats on the road, resulting in a score of 1-1.

Last Wednesday, Auburn easily defeated Alabama at Neville Arena, handing the Tide their second SEC loss. But last weekend, Alabama bounced back with a road game in Baton Rouge, while Auburn suffered a blowout loss to Florida and hasn't won in nearly 30 years.

Both teams finished 1-1 and only moved up one place. This week's AP poll. Auburn moved up one spot from 12th to 13th, and Alabama moved up one spot from 16th to 15th.

Alabama has a midweek break this week, and will next face Texas A&M at home this Saturday at 11 a.m. CT.

Auburn, on the other hand, is in for perhaps its biggest week of the season in history. The home game against South Carolina, which is tied for first in the conference and on a winning streak, will be played first on Wednesday night at 7pm CST.

On Saturday, Auburn will look for another big tilt when it hosts Kentucky in a game that tips off at 5 p.m. CT.
