Alabama-based MartinFed awarded $8 billion IT services contract for FBI, DOJ

“Buy local” is a nationwide initiative that encourages Americans to shop at local community businesses.

That statement will ring true for the federal government too, if the bid goes through.

The most recent example is the multibillion-dollar contract the FBI awarded to Huntsville-based MartinFederal Consulting.

The company announced it had been awarded a blanket purchase agreement under the FBI's IT Supply and Support Services Generation 2 contract. MartinFed officials said ITSSS-2 has an estimated maximum value of $8 billion and will establish a mechanism to provide contractor expertise to FBI programs over the next eight years and will be available to the FBI and all Department of Justice divisions.

“I am proud of our team for their hard work and contributions towards this victory,” said David Mathis, the company's president and CEO. “We have a diverse team of partners and stand ready to assist the FBI, the Department of Justice and federal law enforcement.”

“Our vision is to make a meaningful impact on the safety and security of the nation, and the award of this contract is a testament to the entire team's focus on making that vision a reality.”

MartinFed provides innovative technology capabilities in IT services, cyber solutions, enterprise security operations, and software and business application development to a wide range of clients, including the DOJ, Department of Defense, NASA, and Department of Energy.

This agreement will enable MartinFed to expand these service offerings to the FBI and the entire federal law enforcement community.

“Winning the contract is important to our growth goals of expanding our cyber and IT services and solutions to the FBI and DOJ,” said Ted Martin, executive vice president of Federal Solutions at MartinFed. “As a Huntsville-based company, we are especially pleased to support the FBI and their global mission given their ongoing investment in the Huntsville community.”

“We are pleased with the opportunity to work with the FBI as a mission partner, providing innovative cyber and IT solutions that support their important mission and enhance national security.”
