The University of Alabama National Alumni Association has announced that Crimson Tide fans living in Florida will now be able to wear the Sunshine State's official iconic license plate.

The National Alumni Association commended the Florida chapter for their tireless efforts in bringing these plaques to Florida, specifically naming both Will Moore and Les Yates.

There are currently more than 50,000 plates with UA tags in Alabama. According to the universityMore than 97 percent of proceeds from drivers' purchases will go towards funding UA's scholarship program.

Florida joins several other states, including Georgia, Maryland, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Tennessee, in offering Tide plates.

Florida residents can now officially purchase new license plates directly from the Escambia County Tax Collector's Office, regardless of the condition of their tags. here.
