Alabama Farmers Federation supports candidates for the 2026 elections

Alabama Farmers Federation Endorses Candidates

The Alabama Farmers Federation shared its political endorsements on Tuesday, unveiling a busy agenda for the Alabama Farm Pack, which has initiated a lawsuit against federal officials across all 67 counties.

Jimmy Parnell, the Federation President, remarked, “Candidates often describe the auditorium hosting our FarmPac conference as one of the most daunting venues in state politics because they recognize the importance of our grassroots support. However, the real effort is put in long before we gather in Montgomery. For months, these candidates have been meeting with local federal leaders and participating in county meetings. The candidates we support today are familiar with our people, and we know them.”

Previously, the Federation announced its support for Tommy Tuberville’s statewide campaign and a young boomer running for state treasurer. Approvals from the Alabama Legislature and the State Board of Education come through county federations that are active in each district and are released periodically throughout the year.

Upcoming endorsements for the Alabama Farm Pack on September 30th include:

  • Steve Marshall – US Senate
  • Wes Allen – Lieutenant Governor
  • Katherine Robertson – Attorney General
  • Corey Hill – Agriculture Committee Member
  • Caroline Dobson – Secretary of State
  • Derek Chen – State Auditor
  • Brad Mendeme – Supreme Court, Place 7
  • Gregshaw – Supreme Court, Place 8
  • Mary Wyndham – Court of Criminal Appeals, Location 4
  • Beth Kellum – Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 5
  • Ben Borden – Court of Civil Appeals, Location 4
  • Matt Fridi – Court of Civil Appeals, Location 5
  • Matt Gentry – Public Service Commission, Location 1
  • Chris Beaker – Public Service Commission, Location 2

Parnell stated, “The 2026 election cycle will mark a significant turning point for the state government. With more than 160 races on the ballot and several key open seats, the choices voters make in May and November will shape Alabama’s future for years to come.”
