Alabama GOP delegation honors approval of significant legislation – ‘It’s what our nation needs at this time’

Trump’s Bill Passes in the House

The Republican representatives from Alabama praised President Trump’s “big, beautiful bill,” which managed to pass through the U.S. House on Thursday. The vote was close, at 215-214.

This extensive 1,000-page bill aims to extend the tax cuts initiated in 2017 and notably doesn’t impose taxes on tips or overtime pay. Additionally, it puts work requirements in place for Medicaid benefits, while reinstating certain deductions related to state and local income tax.

Rep. Dale Strong from Huntsville remarked, “This is more than just legislation; it’s a commitment to the people of America. It encourages the growth of professionals and their families, which is crucial for our nation right now.” He emphasized the pride in standing behind Trump’s commitment to historic tax relief, which he believes will benefit American families, enhance security at the southern border, and cut down on unnecessary government spending.

“One big, beautiful bill is not simply legislation; it’s a promise to the American people. It’s vital for professional growth and families, which is what our country urgently needs,” stated Strong on social media.

Rep. Mike Rogers from Saks also expressed his support, suggesting that this bill would bolster national security, encourage economic development, and enhance accountability for taxpayers.

“For years, our defense capabilities have weakened due to lack of investment, which could hinder our ability to handle long-term conflicts,” Rogers said. He added that this measure would provide essential resources to modernize the military and rejuvenate the defense industry, ultimately benefiting military families and taxpayers alike.

“Skepticism remains, but we continue to achieve. This bill will help address those doubts,” Rogers mentioned on Twitter.

Rep. Barry Moore from Enterprise labeled the bill a generational chance to not only renew Trump’s tax cuts but also fulfill promises made to the American people.

“Today, House Republicans prioritized America over politics, delivering tangible results,” Moore stated. He believes this bill will uplift hardworking families by extending Trump’s tax cuts, ensuring funding for border security, lowering energy expenses, and investing in new defense technology.

“It was a long night, but we completed our duties by passing Trump’s big and beautiful bill!” Moore wrote on social media.

Meanwhile, Rep. Robert Adderholt from Haleyville expressed that this law represents a significant win for American families, assures national security, and pushes for responsible government spending.

“I voted for this because hardworking families deserve a government that prioritizes tax relief and secure borders. This bill aims to deliver better results while supporting those in need,” Adderholt remarked.

“I stand by my vote for one big beautiful bill because everyone deserves a fair chance,” Adderholt noted online.
