Will Reichard is one of the most decorated players in the history of the Alabama Crimson Tide football program. After returning for his final year of eligibility, he made the kick and became the NCAA's all-time scoring leader in 2023.
Mr. Reichard received an incredible honor from his hometown of Hoover, Alabama, at a city council meeting this week, receiving the keys to the city along with a proclamation naming him a Hoover Hometown Hero.
According to WVTMthe event was attended by Reichard's family and former Hoover High School coach Josh Niblett.
“I'm so proud of him and I love him to death. To be honest, I would be surprised if he said that, so it was awesome to see.” [points] The record will never be broken. Nothing like this could have happened to a better man. He's a great player, but he's also a great human being, and so is his family,” Niblett said.

“So many of you in this room have helped me grow as I've spent so much time growing as a person and as a football player. I really appreciate the support,” Reichard said. Ta.
“I am truly proud to be from Hoover City and always will be.”
By his senior year at Hoover, Reichard was the No. 1 kicker in the nation and chose to attend Alabama over offers from Auburn, LSU, Oklahoma, Oregon and Georgia.
Five years after having one of the best careers in college football as a kicker and player, Reichard is preparing for next week's NFL Combine, which begins Monday, February 26th.
Reichard had an incredible performance at the Senior Bowl, converting from over 60 yards out during practice.

It's safe to say that whichever NFL team takes a chance on Reichard, they're getting both a phenomenal player and a talent.
